How to have clean underarms? No more black spots and re-growth marks, here are some simple tips to lighten your underarms and some home-made recipes to make them whiter.
Exfoliate your underarms to reduce stains
To reduce underarm stains, exfoliate your underarms at least once a week. These spots can be caused by accumulated dead skin or ingrown hairs. So use a facial scrub and your skin’s radiance and beauty will improve. Here are some ingredients to make your own homemade underarm scrub.
Sugar: Mix one cup of brown sugar with three tablespoons of virgin olive oil to make a rough paste to apply to damp skin. Massage your underarms for three minutes then rinse. You can use it twice a week.
Baking soda: Wash your underarms well to remove all deodorant residue. Make a thick paste by mixing baking soda and water (or lemon juice, which is just as effective). Apply and massage this mixture under your armpits and leave for 10 minutes before rinsing. Sprinkle talcum powder or yeast on your underarms for an even more radiant effect. You can do this every day for two weeks.
Orange: Dry the skin of an orange in the sun. Grate it and mix with rose water and milk to create a paste. Apply the paste to your underarms and massage for 10 minutes. Rinse with cold water.
Another way to care for your underarms is to use a soft pumice stone. You can find them in supermarkets or perfume stores. Wet the stone and gently rub your underarms to exfoliate dead skin.
Five homemade recipes to lighten your underarms
Eliminating dark underarm skin is easy! Here are our five magic ingredients:
Potato:
Thinly slice a piece of potato and rub it on your dark underarm area. You can also grate your potato to extract the “juice” and apply it to your underarms, leaving it to dry for 10 minutes and then rinsing. Do this every day for two weeks.
Cucumber:
in the same way as for the potato, rub the black area of your armpits with a slice of cucumber or grate a piece and use the juice. Alternatively, add a few drops of lemon juice and turmeric (enough to make a paste) to the cucumber juice and apply the paste for half an hour before rinsing.
Lemon:
Rub a large slice of lemon on the dark area. In addition to eliminating bad odors, the lemon will remove dead skin and brighten your underarms. Rinse with soap and apply a moisturizer. You can do this daily for two weeks. You can also add a little turmeric, white yogurt and honey to lemon juice to make a paste that should be left on for 10 minutes before rinsing.
Vinegar:
Mix vinegar with rice flour. Apply the paste, leave on for 15 minutes and then rinse. The vinegar clears up the skin of the armpits and does not leave any germs or bacteria or unpleasant odor.
Coconut oil:
Apply the oil and let it penetrate for 15 minutes before your shower then rinse with mild soap. Coconut oil is enriched with vitamin E which helps to lighten the skin. It can be used daily. Coconut oil is also a natural deodorant: it masks odors without having a strong smell itself.
